Opera Under the Stars was presented by Opera Arts at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa Lawn in front of the Emerald Ballroom on April 20th. Harpist, Ann Ransom played for the guests during the cocktail hour.

Table were set up on the lawn for dinner. Local celebrity pianist, Gale Enger, played the piano while guests ate. Enger played a variety of opera songs by famous composers. This is an annual event.

President Arlene Rosenthal presented a short video about Wells Fargo. This was a prelude to awarding the St. Cecilia Patron of Music award to Wells Fargo for their continued support of the Arts and Opera. Rosenthal presented the award to Robin Hought, Asst.Vice President of Wells Fargo.

Hought has worked with Wells Fargo’s Charitbale division for the past decade.

The entertainment for the evening was the “Poets, Pearls and Promises opera. The opening song told of Friendship, loyalty and betrayal. Soprano Shana Blake Hill followed the duet with a beautiful aria accompanied by Music Director Victoria Kirsch on the piano.
