A TV Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups

Date:

Billed as Bid & Breakfast, producers of last June’s Yucca Valley Art and Retail auction which  was the area’s first online streaming auction of it’s kind are including Palm Springs artists and merchants in this desert awareness campaign.

“We’ve got fantastic artists and wonderful unique shopping alternatives here in the desert”, says producer/host, Buster Baker. “It’s the hi-desert meets the low desert, a winning combination. with our online streaming of our “live” programs, There is no reason we cannot reach out to that weekend traveler or out of state/country viewer to see the value of our area and include us in their upcoming vacation plans”.

The auctions begin Sunday October 6 at 9am and will be held at Willie Boys Saloon and Restaurant on Highway 62 in Morongo Valley and every Sunday following where local residents and visitors can come and enjoy a hearty breakfast and bid on original desert artwork as  well as items from local retail merchants. Those unable to visit, or out of town, can join in on the excitement by logging on to their computers and watch “live” and also bid on items against viewers in the actual audience at Willie Boys.

June’s three day auction garnered viewers and bidders from San Jose,  Long Beach, Los Angleles, states such as Arizona, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and even one bidder logging in all the way from Australia.

KMIR Ch. 6, the local NBC TV affiliates, sportcaster Corban Baker will be joining the crew as Emcee for the Sunday morning auctions.
