PALM SPRINGS, CA – Noted sex education lecturer Dr. Jallen Rix will present “Sex – Just Say, Talk About It,” on Friday, February 3, at 9 am, as part of The Center’s First Friday Breakfast Series to be held at The Center, 611 S. Palm Canyon, Suite 201, Palm Springs.
“Sex education doesn’t make anyone a mind reader,” says Rix. “Communication is essential for health and responsible sexuality.” With his doctorate in education from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality, Dr. Rix creates an accepting and safe environment that provides support, humor and insight. There is no charge for the lecture; however a donation of $3 is encouraged to pay for the continental breakfast.

The mission of The Center is to enrich the lives of the LGBT community. While maintaining and strengthening senior services as a SAGE affiliate, The Center has undertaken a transformation. Key areas of change are a major expansion of the counseling program, a youth crisis collaboration with the Trevor Project and more outreach to women, people of color, and the transgender community.
