Palm Springs, CA – The fall Speakers Bureau is being kicked off at The LGBT Community Center of the Desert with a presentation by Animal Samaritans on Improving the Lives of Animals & People on Thursday, September 13th at 10 am.
For more than 30 years, Animal Samaritans has been providing an affordable animal veterinary clinic, a shelter for homeless dogs and cats, educational programs, and an award-winning Animal Assisted Therapy Program that visits hospitals, assisted living facilities, and special needs classrooms.
This will be followed by Walk Across America, presented by Richard Noble who walked across America to bring awareness to anti-gay bullying on Wednesday, September 19th at 6 pm. A Palm Springs resident, Richard’s journey began in March of 2011 when he began his trek across America. Come hear about the many wonderful experiences he had with the people he met, as well as meet Trinity, the dog he picked up along the way, and walked more than 700 miles with him.
