The Hanson House Foundation held its Annual Festival in the Canyons on May 18th at Indian Canyons Resort in Palm Springs. The event included an 18 hole golf tournament on Indian Canyons South Course, a lakeside cocktail hour and an outdoor dinner under the stars.
Legendary former lead guitarist for the Eagles, Don Felder, presented “An Evening at the Hotel California. Felder sang many of the songs made famous by the Eagles. Felder has had a long career which included 4 grammy awards and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Felder came on stage with only 4 band members. His skill on the guitar is awesome and he sings very well. He had the guests thrilled with all their favorite songs by the Eagles.
Felder is also an author after he penned his autobiography, Heaven and Hell, My life in the Eagles which made the best seller list. He was terminated from the Eagles and spent many years in a legal battle with them. He continues his successful solo career as a singer and songwriter.
Don Felder plays Fender Stratocaster guitar in his tours. He donated an autographed Fender Stratocaster to Hanson House to be auctioned off. Fans could call or text a bid and the guitar went to the highest bidder at the end of the Gala. Proceeds go to Hanson House Foundation.
Hanson House was founded by Dr. Frank Ercoli where families of critically injured and ill can stay in a clean stress free area. Hanson House has 16 rooms that can hold up to sixty-four people per night. It’s a home away from home for loved ones of patients at Desert Regional Hospital.
