The Escena Golf Club in Palm Springs hosted the annual FOOD NOW golf tournament on June 3rd. The course was filled with supporters of Family Services of the Desert/Food Now Charity. It was a great day for golf as the weather was perfect and the course was in pristine condition.
Each golfer was given a Goodie Bag on Arrival. The green fees included 18 holes of golf with cart, A continental Breakfast, Lunch and an awards ceremony. Trophies were given out for 1st and 2nd place alone with gift certificates. Golf club drivers were given to the winners in the longest drive contest by men and women. Other prizes included a closest to the pin contest for both men and women and a chance at a Hole In Won Prize.
A large silent auction was held to raise more money for the FOOD NOW program. Golfers perused the silent auction during lunch. The golf was a scramble with a shot gun start. Escena staff were more than helpful to all golfers and lunch guests. A BBQ Lunch was held on the climate controlled patio with fantastic views of the mountains.
