Food Now with their partner Family Services of the Desert (FSOD) held a community health fair event for their clients and residents of Desert Hot Springs.

Open for business, at their Food Now parking lot, were almost 20 vendors offering various low-to-no-cost health and wellness program’s services, including some basic health check-ups for the elderly and children at the fair-grounds.

Dave Johnson the director of Food Now explained, “ We are not just providing about 5,000 pound of food to our clients every week; we are also making sure they are healthy and eat nutritious food.”

A raffle, giving away Thanksgiving Turkeys were some of the highlights.

The program is only possible with the support of citizens like yourself. They  are always in need of volunteers and resources to make feeding the hungry of Desert Hot Springs possible. Support their efforts with your tax deductible donation.  Just go to their website at http://foodnowinc.org
