Entertainers young and old, large and small are being sought for this years “Grubstake Days Community Fair”. The event, hosted by Hi-Desert Publishing, Z107.7 Radio, the Basin-Wide Foundation and the Town of Yucca Valley, is set for Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Hi-Desert Boys and Girls Club and Brehm Youth Park grounds on Little League Drive in Yucca Valley. The outside booths and entertainment area will open immediately following the Grubstake Days Parade and run until 5:00 pm.
In addition, for the fifth year in a row, the Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a Home and Craft show inside the Boys and Girls Club building. To reserve booth space or for information call the Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce 760-365-6323.
Tri-Valley Little League, Morongo Basin Youth Soccer Association and the Boy’s and Girls Club are associate sponsors and will each operate food booths at the event
Continuous family entertainment will be offered on the Main Stage at the event from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm. Bleachers will be available to sit and enjoy the Community Entertainment.
Organizers say community groups and individuals are welcome to apply to be part of the entertainment line up. If you sing a song, juggle, have a band, or just want to tell some jokes, you can sign up to be part of this year’s 63rd celebration of the rich pioneering, ranching, and mining history of Yucca Valley. Vendors and Non-Profit groups who would like to have a booth offering games, food, fun, and information at the Community Fair event are also being sought. Booths with games for children are being particularly encouraged. Fees for booth space include required Insurance coverage.
