Salton City Hosting Largest Ultralight Gathering, February 9-12, 2012
300 pilots from all over the world are attending this years 10th annual event. United States Powered Paragliding Association sanctioned qualifier competitions for pilots entry into the World Air Games in Europe. Other attractions Races, Kiting war, slalom course, aerobatics, spot landing and many other events for spectator to enjoy. Admission is free to spectators and we invite all to come enjoy the air show of hundreds of colorful paragliders in the sky.
A powered paraglider (also known as a paramotor) is a motorized ultralight that is small enough to fit in the trunk of your car and utilizes a paraglider to fly. It can be worn as a backpack or attached to wheels. No license is required.
