Animal Samaritans is sending eleven pit bull puppies and their momma to an animal rescue shelter in western Colorado. The rescue group has even offered to pay the cost for pet transporters to stay at a nearby bed and breakfast. And, Animal Samaritans has grant money earmarked for the transportation of rescued animals; that means we can help pay for gas! Of course, the 12 to 13 hour drive from the Desert to Colorado is a long haul, and there just happens to be an airport not far from the rescue group, so we welcome car drivers and plane pilots alike to help us transport the pups and their mom.
Whether they travel by plane or by car, If you are a volunteer with Animal Samaritans, or would like to get involved in saving adoptable animals from euthansia, please call Michelle Bergeron, our Adoption Alliance Rescue Coordinator, at 760-851-8484.
The rescue group is ready, willing, and able to take the puppies, so the sooner we can find help getting them there, the better!
