To resolve the “interpretive ambiguity in the Bible as it pertains to homosexuality”, the world’s first “gay Bible” has been released claiming to have finally translated the Christian holy texts correctly.

“You can’t choose your sexuality, but you can choose Jesus.” The online description of “The Queen James Bible” suggests “now you can choose a Bible, too.”

The new version of the Bible owes its name to King James I, who is described as a “well-known bisexual”.

According to the writers, “homosexuality was first mentioned in the Bible in 1946 in the Revised Standard Version. There is no mention of or reference to homosexuality in any Bible prior to this – only interpretations have been made.”

“Anti-LGBT Bible interpretations commonly cite only eight verses in the Bible that they interpret to mean homosexuality is a sin; eight verses in a book of thousands! The Queen James Bible seeks to resolve interpretive ambiguity in the Bible as it pertains to homosexuality: We edited those eight verses in a way that makes homophobic interpretations impossible,” says the statement on the Bible’s website.

Meanwhile, according to Catholic Online, The Queen James Bible “seeks to legitimize the homosexual equivalency movement by changing the language of the Bible.”

“Unfortunately, what they have succeeded in doing is misrepresenting the word of God. Nowhere in Scripture does God condemn any of his children who come to him in loving faith. What scripture does condemn are specific immoral acts, including sexual congress outside the context of marriage which can only exist between one man and one woman.”

The online Catholic News and Information Center noted that “in addition to changing scriptures throughout the Bible, the authors of the book claim that King James I was bisexual, despite the fact there is no concrete historical evidence to verify this.”

“The claim that the Bible is imperfect is simply a postmodern assessment, the well-known by-product of a bankrupt worldview,” Catholic Online wrapped up.
