Desert Regional Medical Center announces its affiliation with the Boston-based Joslin Diabetes Center, a global leader in diabetes research, education and care. The Joslin Diabetes Center Affiliate at Desert Regional Medical Center offers some of the latest advances for treating diabetes and its complications, as well as patient education and support services.
Please be our guest at the grand opening event for the new center to be held at 10 a.m. on March 2 on the hospital campus at 1140 N. Indian Canyon Dr. in Palm Springs.
The Joslin Diabetes Center Affiliate grand opening event will feature facility tours, refreshments, healthy cooking demonstrations as well as a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m.
Special guests and speakers at the grand opening will include Karolee Sowle, president and chief executive officer for Desert Regional Medical Center, and Pushpinder S. Guleria, MD, medical director for the local program. In addition, national Joslin Diabetes Center staff will be present to recognize local individuals who have lived with diabetes for 50 or more years.
